KERNER DOC

The Natöra Kerner DOC 2023 is a white wine with a fresh and complex aromatic profile, obtained from 100% Kerner grapes grown in the Isarco Valley, in Alto Adige. This grape variety, a cross between Schiava and Riesling created in Germany in the 1930s, stands out for its ability to adapt to the gravelly soils of high, sunny slopes located between 650 and 970 metres above sea level. With particular attention to respect for nature, this wine is vinified with a reduced use of sulphites, maintaining the purity of the territory intact.

Gastronomic Pairings

The Natöra Kerner DOC 2023 is a versatile and refined wine, ideal for accompanying a variety of dishes.

Perfect with cod cream crostini seafood salads or grilled scallops. It pairs well also with fresh and light cheeses.

Ideal for lemon and shrimp tagliatelle aromatic herb risottos or seasonal vegetable veloutés like peas or asparagus.

Elegantly accompanies fish baked in parchment paper such as sea bream or sea bass and gratinated crustaceans. It suits well also white meats with delicate sauces like turkey cooked in white wine.

Thanks to its freshness it is an excellent companion for fruit-based desserts such as a fresh fruit salad or an apricot tart.

Vinification Process

The grapes are harvested manually and processed using delicate pressing followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. Maturation occurs on noble lees in stainless steel tanks which gives the wine greater complexity and structure. It is recommended to store it in a dark cool environment at a temperature not exceeding 15°C for optimal consumption within 3-5 years.
